The SS20X self-contained transmitter operates on a single AAA alkaline battery to locate and trace non-conductive pipes or ducts. Operating on a standard 512 Hz frequency, the SS20 can trace at depths up to 20'. This sonde is not threaded and a sonde carrier is recommended for attaching to a rodder. The sonde is lightweight at .175 lb with a 0.75" diameter and is 3.625" in length.
