The 7/16" Ruf Rod are the largest diameter rods in the DCD line of traceable rodders. These units are available in lengths up to 1,500’. The recommended duct sizes for this rod are 2 to 4" in diameter. A 25-gauge copper wire imbedded in the rod to allows a signal to be transmitted down the entire length of the rod. A terminal box mounted on the frame with male and female banana terminals allows for external transmitter hook ups. It is recommended that a roller guide be used to help the signal create a better connection between the end of the rod and the wall of the ducting. This helps the signal to complete the circuit back to earth.
