Plastic Water Pipe Variable Impulse Generator

Now you can locate plastic water pipes without the risk of damaging the pipe, thanks to the RSP 3 Acoustic Pipe Knocker. The thumper kit offers fast set-up, eliminates water connections or interruptions of service & comes with an easy to use control box.

The control box features manual adjustments for impact intensity and pulse repetition. Three levels of impact intensity cover a broad range of locating or leak detection needs, use the low intensity setting closer to walls or high intensity for longer distances.

The control box can be adjusted to deliver 40/min strike impulses for locating near the thumper, up to 120/min for longer distances. The RSP3 sends three impulses with each striker pulse sequence, and the sequence drops to two impulses with a low battery.

This RSP3 impulse generator is designed to work on either vertical or horizontal pipes, while the variable impulse and intensity allows for optimal use on all types of pipes and water systems. This Vivax-Metrotech water pipe knocker kit must be used with a listening device for locating water lines and leak detection. Pair with a HL 50-BT Acoustic Water Leak Locator or the LD-15 Water Leak Detector for surveying and pinpointing leaks.
